Limerick Garden Festival takes place at Milk Market, Limerick.
Located in the heart of Limerick City, the historical market was re-
developed and opened in June 2010 as an all-weather,
all year round market space, accommodating major markets.
Having a fantastic reputation for artisan food, this festival aims to
widen the circle and make gardening another string to its bow.

Limerick City & County Council are welcoming this festival and are
continuing their support of the event in particular through their Festivals
and events grant since the inception in 2018.
Having hosted plenty of their own Garden events and
festivals, D&M Garden Centre in Croagh, Co Limerick
are welcoming Limerick City Garden Festival and wish the
organisers continued success.
D&M Garden Centre has been growing for the last 30 years
beginning as a vegetable supplier and expanding to the
Garden Centre it is today.

Carmen Cronin is a successful events manager having founded and created Clare Garden Festival in 2012 with over 2500 visitors annually supported by Bloom/Bord Bia. She has vast experience in the management of trade fairs, conference and festivals including Ennis Food Festival. Her passion is in the horticultural sector having worked as part of Blarney in Bloom for 5 years and having organised workshops & community events for and with gardeners both regionally and nationally.

We are hugely delighted to welcome on board Limerick Mental Health Association as our dedicated charity. Founded in 2002 for those affected by mental health challenges in the local community. The association works to raise awareness, reduce stigma and promote positive mental health. Limerick Growing Communities is a network of new and existing
community growing spaces in Limerick City. Supported by PAUL
Partnership under the SICAP Programme, there are 15
recognised community gardens. Limerick Growing Communities
organises open days, workshops, small infrastructure grants,
community cookouts, installation of a communal biodigester and harvest
celebrations. At Limerick Garden Festival we raise the profile of the Community
Gardens among the wider gardening community in Limerick.
The festival theme of Gardening is recognised as a strong
support for those with mental health problems and also for
general mental wellbeing. This is true for people of all ages,
demographics and incomes.
The festival expert talks, demonstrations and stalls give
opportunity to showcase, support and highlight these im-
portant topics.

In line with the Heritage council core theme, the festival is this year focussing around Biodiversity with talks, demos and workshops in this area.
In 2025, Limerick Garden Festival will see its very first
Cookery demonstration with chef Tom Flavin showing the
connect from Plant to Plate. It is a huge pleasure to count
Limerick Food Group amongst our new sponsors this year
promoting and supporting good food from Limerick.
LFG is a voluntary group of people working with food in Limerick
who came together to promote the city and county as a quality food destination.
